On September 7-8, 2023, the tenth meeting of the sixth Council of China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Li Shuo, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, Yang Qingsong, member of the Party Group of the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province, and Yu Zhong, Deputy director of the Bureau of Commerce of Wuhan were invited to attend the meeting. At the council meeting, Li Shuo, deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, made a keynote speech on the current foreign trade situation and policies, encouraging enterprises to seize new opportunities and integrate into the new pattern of foreign trade development. Director Yang Qingsong gave a welcome speech on behalf of the Provincial Department of Commerce and introduced the operation of foreign trade in Hubei Province in detail. He sincerely invited the member enterprises of the Chamber of Commerce to visit Hubei textile and garment enterprises to seek cooperation opportunities and help the development of Hubei textile and garment industry. When analyzing the international economic and trade situation in 2023, President Cao Jiachang pointed out that the current political and economic situation in the world is complicated and severe, and the United States and Western countries seek to "de-risk" the supply chain to reduce their dependence on our supply chain, the industry faces order transfer, and the industry faces difficulties in declining exports. The Textile Chamber of Commerce will continue to do a good job for enterprises to convey relevant national policy information, build a trade promotion service platform and other basic work, and strive to improve the quality and level of service. President Cao suggested that enterprises in the industry stabilize orders, stabilize markets and stabilize customers through transformation and upgrading, grasp the new trend of international trade development, actively expand new formats and new models to promote the textile and garment foreign trade industry, seriously deal with the risks brought by international geopolitics, and promote the steady and long-term development of enterprises. Vice President Zhang Xi 'an, on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, reported the main business work of the Chamber of Commerce to the Council. The Council also specially invited Sun Lei, senior partner of Dacheng Law Firm, to interpret Sino-US textile and garment trade barriers and countermeasures, and Yi Long, executive chairman of Wuhan Cross-border E-commerce Association and founder of Jugu Hui cross-border e-commerce Alliance, introduced the experience and prospect of cross-border e-commerce to the Council.

In order to promote industry exchanges and study and judge the foreign trade situation, The meeting arranged six enterprises, including Guangdong Textile Import and Export Co., LTD., Anhui Garment Import and Export Co., LTD., Ningbo Zhongji Huitong Group Co., LTD., Fujian Shangfei Garment Co., LTD., Jiangsu Guotai International Group Co., LTD., and Oriental International (Group) Co., LTD., to introduce Sino-US textile and apparel trade barriers and countermeasures, and cross-border e-commerce experience And the prospect, textile and garment foreign trade "going out" overseas development opportunities and challenges and other three issues of experience exchange.

In order to promote the cooperation between the textile and garment foreign trade transformation and upgrading base and the majority of member enterprises, the Council also held a special promotion meeting for the textile and garment industry in Sixian County, Anhui Province. Xiao Ling, deputy Secretary-General of the Textile Chamber of Commerce, presided over the promotion activity. Relevant leaders and enterprises in Sixian county introduced the county situation and the development of the textile and garment industry and enterprises. And carried on the docking communication.

On the morning of the 8th, the Council organized some representatives of the meeting to go to Wuhan Aidi Group Aidi Fashion Creative Industry Park and Wuhan Steel Yungu Science and Technology Innovation Park.
